One of our favorite albums ever by this inventive Japanese trumpeter -- and a really that really lives up to its title! Terumasa's entering his spacey period here -- but not too spacey -- and he's playing in a stretched out style that takes his trumpet into warm soulful lines that remind us of some of Freddie Hubbard's playing at the time -- somewhere in the earliest CTI styles, but more acoustic overall -- or almost similar to some of the mellower Strata East sides from the time -- particularly the drawn-out work of the Charles Tolliver/Stanley Cowell groupings. The group also features Takeru Muraoka on tenor, Hiromasa Suzuki on piano, and Motohiko Hino on drums -- and titles include "Into The Heaven", "Love More Train", and "Feeling Blue As You Are Feel".
