This was produced by Scott Storch as a one-off. Scott started his career as the keyboardist in the Roots pre-Kamal (basically just for DYWM!?!?). In the liner notes they said it was more of a deal Geffen Records pieced together, but even ?uesto noted that "once a Root, always a Root." Not surprisingly, this was their final album before switching to Def Jam.
