Pana is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse shaping the sound of reggae in Hawai‘i today. His productions have backed the likes of Ka‘ikena Scanlan, The Green, Fia, Likkle Jordee and more.

Since its release, Hibiscus has helped propel his prominence as a solo artist to unexpected heights. Having released the EP in February 2020 with minimal effort to promote it beyond his immediate fanbase, the response has been overwhelming, with some songs passing the million-mark on Spotify and becoming staples on local radio.

Aloha Got Soul is proud to present Pana's Hibiscus on vinyl, with the instrumental versions included on the B-side.

Releasing August 9, 2024.
(Shipping around August 1, 2024)

Available in black vinyl and limited fuschia vinyl.

"I can’t believe the amount of love I’ve gotten with this project. I decided to drop this thing three days ago with no marketing plan or anything and y’all really blessed me with an overwhelming amount of support. Last year we lost my uncle Kaliko who was one of the first to ever believe in me and my music. Guy had the biggest heart and left a mark on many lives in the Hawaiʻi music scene. The tune “Count Your Blessings” sparked this whole project. It was the last song I ever made at his home in Hilo before he passed. He never got to hear the final product but God put it on my heart to release it. I didn’t know when but I knew how much he loved it and it reminded me of him every time I’d play the demo in my car.

So now, here we are.

At first, Hibiscus didn’t really have a meaning to it, but after lots of thought it represents life, happiness, love, joy, growth, and beauty. It represents the blessings that we all have in this crazy world. I hope that these songs can be a blessing to you just like my uncle Kaliko was a blessing to many. Plus, it’s my birthday weekend too so TURN IT UP! Love you all.
